VICTIMS’ COMMISSIONER OR CRIMINALS’ COMMISSIONER – WHICH IS IT?

It seems the so-called Victims’ Commissioner needs to scrub up on the definition of victim, because in my book home invaders are not victims, Leader of the KAP and state Member for Traeger Robbie Katter has said.

Despite the Victims’ Commissioner’s remit to be “advocating for victims’ rights” and providing advice on “improvements to policy, practices, procedures and systems to uphold the rights of victims and better meet their needs,” the Commissioner has failed to support Castle Law.

GOVERNMENT DEVOID OF ANSWERS NEED NOT LOOK FURTHER THAN CASTLE LAW

Queenslanders are sick and tired of newspaper and social media headlines from the Government about being tough on crime, while our homes continue to be invaded, Leader of the KAP and state Member for Traeger Robbie Katter has said.

The Parliamentary Committee Inquiry into KAP’s Castle Law Bill received over 700 submissions, the overwhelming majority of which were supportive.

KAP BIOFUELS BILL CHANCE FOR GOVERNMENT TO PUT WORDS INTO ACTION

The Brisbane major parties need to get over their egos and remember they govern for Queensland, not for political point scoring, Leader of the KAP and state Member for Traeger Robbie Katter has said.

Mr Katter praised the KAP’s Member for Hill, Shane Knuth, for tabling a biofuels mandate bill that would force big oil companies to use more ethanol and biodiesel, kick starting a revitalisation of the biofuels industry in Queensland.

PROOF OF GAS RESERVATION POLLOUT IN THE PRICE PUDDING

After years of LNP and Labor both chasing the free market dream, the Federal Government seem to have listened, but the only measure of success it if gas prices substantially come down, Leader of the KAP and state Member for Traeger Robbie Katter has said.

“The KAP have been warning successive governments for more than a decade of the impending doom facing industry from high gas prices and pushing solutions such as a Gas Reservation Policy to address the supply and price of gas,” he said.

COPPERSTRING CRITICAL TO SAVE MILLIONS OF DIESEL PER WEEK

More than 1.2 million litres of diesel every week could be back in the hands of our truckies and farmers if we had CopperString to Mount Isa, Robbie Katter, Katter’s Australian Party (KAP) Leader, and Member for Traeger has said.

A survey of power-isolated mines in the North West Minerals Provence has revealed 13 triple road trains a week are needed to generate on-site electricity, with that figure set to more than double to 30 triple road trains weekly, in the next five years as mines expand, while CopperString is not delivered.

FUEL SECURITY WARNINGS NOT NEW – NOW IT’S GONE TO CUSTARD

“If things turn to custard, you’re likely to have a problem,” John Blackburn, Ret. Vice Air Marshall said, almost four years ago on a podcast hosted by Robbie Katter, Katter’s Australian Party (KAP) Leader, and Member for Traeger.

“John sent the warning loud and clear in 2022 and has continued to since – Australia is far from prepared for global shocks to the fuel market like we’re seeing now,” Mr Katter said.

“The free marketeers have been caught with their pants down, and the rest of Australia are the ones left to pay.

KATTER CONTINUES 14 YEARS OF CALLS FOR NATIONAL FUEL SECURITY VIA ROBUST ETHANOL MANDATE

Yesterday in Parliament the Premier stood on Labor’s position and refused to commit to taking tangible action on fuel security by implementing a robust ethanol mandate, Katter’s Australian Party (KAP) Leader, and Member for Traeger has said.

In opposition the LNP put three bills into Parliament to implement an ethanol mandate, then refused to support the KAP bill in 2014.

“The fuel crisis is well beyond party politics now,” Mr Katter said.
